The leader of the Communist movement in China was Mao Zedong and it began in 1921. The communist party was fighting against nationalism and the leader of the nationalists, Jiang Jieshi. The Long March was a 6,000 mile march that the 100,000 communist's took in a huge retreat against the opposing nationalists. Between 1946-1949 there were 3 major, main events. On June 26, 1946, the Kuomintang army launched an attack with forces at the Central Plain Liberation Area, which maked the outset of the Liberation War. On December 25, 1947, Mao Zedong put forward in front of his people, the famous 10 principles of military operation. The next year in October, 1949, Mao Zedong then gains control of China and calls it the People's Republic of China. The primary objective of the Agrarian Reform Law was to make sure China was to distribute the landed properties of rural landlords, to the landless rural peasants. Also, the government of China took hold over the landed properties of rural landlords and basically demolished the feudal class. China today is a more modernized country that it ever was before, one of the world wide leaders in education, technology, and surprisingly the country is still Communist.
